Buyer's
Information
|
| -There are many steps to
buying real estate. |
| -The first thing to consider
might be the location and type of property you would like to
purchase. There are many options. Do you want to be near the
beach or on deep water? Would you like to have a view? I can
help identify properties that might suit you needs. |
| -Price is obviously always
an issue to consider. If you need to obtain mortgage financing
for your purchase I can put you in touch with several lending
institutions that will help you determine how much you can
afford. |
| -Once you decide on a specific
property, you will need to make an offer. I will assist you
in writing the offer and will present it to the seller for
you. It is recommended that you include an earnest money deposit
with your offer. “Good faith money” is another
term for it. It shows the seller that you are serious about
your offer. These funds will be held in escrow and will be
credited to you at closing. |
| -Negotiations might be
needed to arrive at an agreed upon price. I will handle this
for you. |
| -Once we come to an agreement
of price and terms, I will assist you in setting up inspections.
These will include a termite inspection (called a CL 100 report),
a home inspection, and any others that may be needed. You might
also want to have a survey performed if needed. I will assist
you through the closing. |
| -If you plan to put your
new property on the rental market I would suggest talking to
the rental department here at Prudential Kapp Lyons Realty.
We offer full service property management. |
